Knows The Drill

For pet care businesses with bookings to coordinate

Virtual assistants for pet care businesses

Keep customer requests organized while your team cares for the animals. An assistant can coordinate inquiries, booking details and routine follow-up. Knows The Drill recruits and prepares your assistant for your pet care business's process before handoff.

Find your assistant

Prepare the booking before it reaches the care team.

A customer asks about boarding dates. The business needs the pet's details, the requested service and the records your staff review before accepting a booking. Another client wants to change pickup time while the on-site team is busy.

An assistant can gather the information and maintain a clear response record. Your pet care staff decide whether the service is appropriate, whether space is available and what care the animal needs.

The work to hand off

Give customer coordination a reliable place beside the care work.

Shape the role around the workload

Would an assistant help your pet care front desk?

A useful fit when

  • Your care team repeatedly pauses to collect booking details and send reminders.
  • Customer changes and missing documents need consistent follow-up.

Discuss the setup first

  • You need hands-on pet care, animal assessment or veterinary support.
  • Customers expect urgent care advice or response outside the agreed support hours.

Managed support provides a dedicated, full-time assistant. Direct-hire responsibilities, hours and employment terms are agreed during matching.

Your care team decides what is right for the animal.

The assistant handles administrative coordination, with a direct route to staff for questions that affect care or acceptance.

  • Medical advice, behavioral assessment, medication instructions and animal-care decisions belong to appropriately qualified or authorized staff.
  • Your team reviews required records and confirms service suitability, capacity and booking acceptance.
  • Urgent welfare concerns go directly to the designated staff contact; remote administration does not replace on-site care or emergency coverage.

Before you bring someone on

Can an assistant support a grooming or boarding business?
Yes. Inquiry intake, appointment coordination, reminders and routine follow-up can fit either business. Show us the requirements for each service so we can define the role around your actual booking process.
Can they collect vaccination records or intake forms?
They can collect and organize the records your process requests through the channels you authorize. Your staff decide whether the information meets your requirements and whether a pet can be accepted.
Can they answer questions about a pet's health or behavior?
They should route those questions to the responsible care professional or staff member. The administrative role does not include medical advice, behavioral assessment or decisions about an animal's suitability for a service.
Can they work in our booking software?
Tell us the system, required actions and permissions during matching. We discuss the necessary skills and prepare the assistant for the agreed workflow before handoff.
What happens if a customer reports an urgent concern?
Define a direct escalation contact and the instructions the assistant must follow. Urgent welfare matters need your responsible staff or the appropriate local service. The role should not be treated as continuous emergency coverage.

Keep the booking details moving while your team handles the care.

Bring us the customer inquiries, missing records and appointment changes that interrupt the day. We will help define an assistant role around the administrative work your team can delegate.
